These cards are also popularly known as dual frequency cards. As the name suggests, it is a combination of 2 frequencies embedded in the same card. For example, UHF + HF Cards. It is most widely used in applications where doing transaction with high read range is of prime concern. While the HF standard (13.56 MHz) takes care of the secure transaction mode, the UHF standard (865 -928 MHz) provides an additional long range to the user.
