Key Features of Eco Track Systems RFID Timing Solution

Traditional Race Tracking System

Before modern RFID race timing solutions, most physical fitness tests and marathons, especially in defence units, relied on manual race tracking methods. Here's how a traditional system typically worked

1. Manual Stopwatch Timing
Officials or designated personnel used stopwatches to manually record each participant's timing. Timers were stationed at the start point, key checkpoints, and the finish line to capture individual timings.

2. Bib Numbers or Identification Tags
Participants wore bibs or ID tags with unique. identification numbers. These helped the officials match each recorded time with the correct runner.

3. Checkpoint Monitoring with Officials
Race marshals were posted at multiple checkpoints to track participants' progress, verify route compliance, and note down timings. In multi-lap races, officials manually counted the number of laps completed by each runner.

4. Paper Logs for Record Keeping All race data-including timings, bib numbers, and observations were manually written in logbooks or on pre-prepared sheets. These paper recards were critical for compiling final race results and conducting performance evaluations

5. Flags and Course Markers
Physical course markers such as flags, cones, or ropes were used to clearly define the start and finish lines checkpoints, and the overall race route.

6. Whistles and Manual Signals
Race starts and checkpoint alerts were signaled us whistles or manual flags, ensuring all participants we aligned with the event's progression.

Application Areas: For managing periodic events like BPT run, BPET run, Agni veer Selection and to manage physical tests related to selection of candidates in armed forces, state police etc.
